Challenge.......100 names by each family in the ward

There has been a challenge from the Stake Presidency for each family to index 100 names.  Many are not sure how to log in and get going.  This is the place to come for help.
I'm going to explain how to download indexing and how to log in.
To start.....go to https://familysearch.org/  the image below is what you will see
then you will click on indexing (on the image above it is highlighted in red) this page will appear:
Now click on the blue "download the software"
It will download to your computer.  Depending on your computer on what you will see and where it goes. In the below picture if you look at the bottom left corner you will see "indexing_windows.exe" I would double click that.
Then this will appear (the box that says install4j wizard) It will download and usually your computer will ask if you want this program to make changes, click yes
Once it is all downloaded and you have okayed it you will get this

click next and it will start set up (you will see this pop up) let it process
Then this will pop up (pick your language) then click next
and this will appear
click finish.  Something similar to this will pop up (you are starting the indexing)
Now you will get the login page
Now it is time to log in.  If you have a lds account that is what you use to log in.  If you don't you will need to set up an account.  (There will be a separate post about how to do this)  Log in and you will get this page

Let is process and you will get this page.  Now you are ready to index :)  Way to go!!!

Click on download a batch towards the top left and you will get a list of indexing batches
Select an batch (beginning, intermedate or advanced) and get started!

There will be another post for helps on indexing!

How to get an account

To get an LDS account to do indexing, get on lds.org, or get on and do some Family History you will need to click this link https://ldsaccount.lds.org/site/register-choice
You will need to pick which you want to do.  Then fill in the required information and make an account.  Once you have an account you can use this to get on both http://www.lds.org/?lang=eng and https://familysearch.org/ and https://new.familysearch.org/en/action/unsec/welcome  (I am sure I am forgetting some site, but this one account will get you onto any LDS account you need.  If you already have an account you will need to log in with that.
